Green Days 2017 report

During the premiere edition of Green Days – Gardening and Landscape Architecture Fair 2017 the F Hall of the International Trade Fair and Congress Center Ptak Warsaw Expo was a true kingdom of greenery for over 15 700 visitors. Three days 7-9 April were full of colorful flowers and lots of other garden plants presented by over 180 exhibitors. The visitors could meet the special guest – Ms. Maja Popielarska, who held open workshops.

Starting from a project, through plants, to professional equipment

The Green Days Fair were organized on the area of 24 000 sqm. The exhibition was divided into 6 sectors: Landscape Architecture, Small Architecture, Horticulture, Horticulture Techniques, Floristics and Beekeeping. Among the exhibitors you could meet landscape architects and garden designers, producers and distributors of garden plants, flowers, garden equipment, as well as furniture, fences, sculptures, fountains and garden lighting. Also “honey” foods, supplements and cosmetics were presented. Among the exhibitors there were such companies as: Agrecol, Cellfast, STIHL, Belchim Crop Protection, Łukomet, Wacker Neuson, Slodrip, Shaffer, Grasshopper, Kwazar, Libet, Kronen, Królik, Fosfan, Luvena, Plantico, Lamela, Garden Space, RM Flowers, Gifts of Nature, Duet, Blumkowsky, Żabieniec, Herbeć, Chronos and many more.

Education for professionals and gardening enthusiasts

A Landscape Architecture of Contemporary China conference was a very interesting part of the event. Stanley Lung – a world-renowned architect – was the special guest. Another conference “The latest trends in European fruit growing – how to earn on ecology?” also gathered very many enthusiastic participants. It is worth mentioning that all floristry amateurs could participate in floristic workshops conducted by Iza Tkaczyk, a true master in this field

There were so many attractions that anyone could find something for oneself, like: free design workshops using Vectorworks, conference on “Contemporary trends and challenges in designing green areas in cities”, thematic panels: “Spice plants from amateur growing” and “Low Cost Design”, Young Designer’s Day, large-size trees planting presentation.

This special event was held under the patronage of the Ministry of the Environment and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, together with the cooperation of local governments of the regions: Lubelskie and Podlasie, Mazowieckie and Kujawsko-Pomorskie and many other institutions, universities and organizations, as well as the media.
